A ticket scan is not the same as holding the original
Discussion · Karan ·
An image can show numbers, date and barcode, but it does not tell me who controls the paper ticket or what contract applies. If an overseas service only sends a scan, what questions should a buyer ask about custody and claiming? No company recommendations please.

A scan proves that an image exists; it does not by itself prove ownership or give you the paper needed for a claim. Before ordering, read who buys the ticket, whose name is attached to it, where the original is stored, whether you can receive or inspect it, and what happens for small, large and jackpot claims.
Also check the issuing jurisdiction, order cutoff, all service fees, refund/cancellation terms, identity checks, payout method and dispute law. Save the checkout terms and order confirmation. If those points are missing, do not assume the scan gives the same rights as holding a ticket bought directly from a licensed retailer.
