Remaining-prizes table: does it change what you buy?

Discussion · Mel ·

I look at the state list before buying, but I dont pretend it tells me what is sitting in one store. Mostly I use it to avoid games where the prizes I care about are already gone. Do you check the table, or pick whatever looks good at the counter?

A remaining-prizes table tells you how many prizes in each tier have not yet been recorded as claimed as of the page's update date. It can help you avoid a game whose top prizes are already gone and compare the remaining mix with the original total.

It does not show where those tickets are, whether they are still in an unsold pack, or what will happen on the next ticket. North Carolina updates its table daily and even notes that remaining counts can rise when a game is reordered. Use it as statewide inventory information, not as a retailer or ticket predictor.
