Taking a month off made the game fun again

Discussion · Mara ·

I was checking too many draws and not really enjoying any of them. A month with no tickets reset the habit. When I came back it was one game, one day, no catching up. Have you ever taken a planned break?

A planned break can be as practical as any spending limit. Pick the start and end dates, remove saved payment methods, mute jackpot alerts and decide what replaces the usual draw-time routine. When the break ends, returning is optional; there is no missed play to catch up on.

If stopping feels difficult, spending is hidden, or lottery play is causing stress at home or work, confidential support is available. In the US, use the National Council on Problem Gambling's current help page to reach the correct helpline and local resources for your state. This is support, not a diagnosis.
