The origin of Missouri Lottery dates back to the year 1985. After 9 years of its inception that is since 1994, Missouri Lottery continues to use its earnings to fund the state’s programs that run for education. Hundred percent of Missouri Lottery earnings are given to the Lottery Proceeds Funds that is further used for public education funding. The profits from the Missouri Lottery can be roughly estimated to be about four percent of what is used for public education funding.  Along with supporting the state’s public education programs, Missouri Lottery also extends its help to several businesses in the state. How do you collect lottery winnings in Missouri ?
