Unclaimed $197,766 Michigan Fantasy 5 Jackpot Goes to Schools
The ticket from the Sept. 26, 2025 drawing was sold in Covert and expired a year later.
A Michigan Fantasy 5 jackpot worth $197,766 has gone unclaimed. The winning ticket was bought at Max William LLC, 31884 M-140, in Covert for the Sept. 26, 2025 drawing. It expired at 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2026.
Because nobody claimed it, the prize goes to Michigan's School Aid Fund, the Michigan Lottery said.
Not the first this year
In July, a $250,000 Keno! ticket bought at Willow Creek Market in Belleville also expired unclaimed, and that money went to the School Aid Fund too.
What this means for players
Michigan draw-game tickets such as Fantasy 5 are valid for one year from the drawing date. If you keep tickets to check later, write the drawing date somewhere you will see it, and check old tickets before the year is up.
