Players pick 8 of the 32 NFL team logos, and the drawing is held every Sunday night.

Powerball has added a weekly game built around NFL team logos. In Powerball Xs & Os, you pick 8 of the 32 team logos for $5 a play. Sales started on Sept. 8, 2026, and the first drawing was held on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Drawings are every Sunday at 10 p.m. Eastern. The logos are drawn at random; the results have nothing to do with how the teams play on the field.

Prizes and odds

Matching all eight logos wins the jackpot, and the odds are one in 10,518,300. The overall odds of winning any prize are about one in 12.16.

The lower prizes are listed at $20,000 for seven logos, $500 for six, $40 for five and $7 for four. They are pari-mutuel, which means the amount depends on how many people win. In the first drawing, nobody matched all eight, and the seven-logo prize paid $500 to each of 19 winners.

Where you can play

The game is sold only in participating states. North Carolina is one of them; check your state lottery to see whether it offers Xs & Os.

What this means for players

Because the lower prizes are shared, the listed amounts are not guaranteed. A popular combination can pay much less than the base prize, as the first drawing showed.
