About Kansas (KS) Lottery

Run by the Kansas government, Kansas lottery began in the November of 1986. The inception of the Ks Lottery took place after 64% of the Kansas voters approved a constitutional amendment for the authorization of creating a government-run lottery. The ‘Kansas Lottery Act’ was passed by the Kansas Legislature in 1987, which lead to the establishment of Kansas Lottery. While standing by integrity and honesty, the Kansas Lottery aims to generate as much revenue as possible for Kansas.

The Kansas Lottery offers scratch cards that range from $1 to $20. There are a couple of instant pull-tabs games that cost $1 and $2 respectively. Additionally, the Ks lottery also offers several terminal-based games such as Kansas Powerball, Hot Lotto, Mega Millions, Super Kansas cash, pick 3, 2by2, Keno, and Kansas Hold’em. About 1,900 retailers sell these Lottery products of Kansas Lottery. In addition to these games, Ks lottery also sponsors different races at the Kansas Speedway.

In-house draw games:

The Ks Lottery which is operated by the Kansas Lottery Commission, offers a set of in-house lottery games which can be played by anyone who is 18 or older.

  • Pick 3

Pick 3 is a very simple and basic lottery game that’s very popular among the lottery players. Drawn twice daily and 7 times a week, this game is a fan favorite among the draw games available.

  • Keno

This game can be played every day of the week. It’s made available at all the retailers that have a Keno monitor. The drawings period ranges from 5 am to 1:52 am daily. For every four minutes, 20 numbers are randomly selected by a computer in this game.

 

  • Kansas Hold’Em

A daily poker game that’s played in the five-card style. This game is available with at all the retailers that have Kansas Hold’Em monitor. The drawing period of this game is from 5:06 am to 1:54 am. This game can be played seven days a week.

  • Super Kansas Cash

An upgraded version of the Kansas cash game, the Super Kansas Cash game offers the player two game chances for $1. The winner is awarded huge cash prizes which can be a jackpot. This games is played in the 5+1 matrix style, in which five numbers are drawn from the 1-32 set and one number from 1-25 set. This game is played on three days a week with a beginning jackpot of $100,000.

How do you collect lottery winnings in Kansas ?

  • You should be patient for about 7-10 days for electronic deposits or mailed payments.

  • Prizes of $5,001 upwards can be claimed by mail sent to the Kansas Lottery office mailing address. As with the in-person claim for prizes of this range, you should not expect to receive your payment the same day. The same information above applies to the mail claim as well.

  • Winners are expected to fill the claim form when claiming any prize of $50 upwards by mail.
