How do you collect lottery winnings in Puerto Rico ?

The table below highlights the different processes of claiming your prizes in Puerto Rico.

A winner may claim cash prizes from draw games 180 days after the drawing date, and prizes from instant games 180 days after the game's finish date.

Any individual presenting a winning ticket to the Official Special Payer or Assistant Payer is required to produce a driver's license or other form of photo identification that also includes their name, address, and Social Security number.

In the absence of any form of identification, the Special Paying Officer may authorize the payment after properly identifying the person using a method designed for that purpose.

The facts, circumstances, and complaint number to the police must all be stated in the statement. The series, fractions, and ticket number must also be included. The Secretary must conduct an inquiry and verify the facts stated in the affidavit.
